Software developer Avira, which primarily deals with the topic of anti-virus protection, launched an online-based marketing campaign in the summer of 2016 with various target groups, which the company’s proprietary software-based VPN tool “Phantom VPN” was to present to a wider public. With the help of the tool, which can be used on all common end devices, bank data, passwords and other confidential information are encrypted during own web activities, as well as their own identity anonymized and regional blocking of web content bypassed in order to optimize the individual online experience for the final consumption.
In order to support the company in the marketing of its mobile VPN software as well as a security suite, we were commissioned with the conceptual development of various thematic campaigns, starting with the category “Travel”. For this purpose, we created the conceptual as well as editorial framework, developed the design for the corresponding landing page and made the image selection. Following the live walk of the homepage, we also developed the design for the Avira Phantom VPN product page in a coupon booklet (SkyBenefits) of the airline Air Berlin. Further theme campaigns, banner productions and landing pages followed in autumn and winter 2016 as well as in spring 2017.
